Carrot and Sweet Radish in Vinegar (Cu Cai Carot Chua)

THE INGREDIENTS:
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
dash of salt
1 medium carrot
1 icicle radish, same size as carrot
2 teaspoons vinegar
1 cup of water
Cut the carrot and icicle radish into flower shapes as follows: cut several lengthwise wedges out of each of these vegetables and slice them paper thin.
Make a marinade of the water, vinegar, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Put the vegetables into the marinade for 1 hour before serving. Remove the marinade before serving.
